The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s (OCRF) National Research Grants Program is now accepting Expression of Interest (EOI) applications! This funding focuses on accelerating progress for the most lethal gynaecological cancer: ovarian cancer.
As the leading independent funder of ovarian cancer research in Australia, the OCRF is aware that the current funding landscape is particularly challenging for researchers. Therefore, we’re proud to be able to provide this significant opportunity to Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand researchers, working on ovarian cancer. This year’s grant round seeks to fund innovative research providing hope for the ovarian cancer community.
The 2027 funding round offers two grant categories:
- Pilot Grants for preliminary studies testing new ideas and approaches
- Project Grants for established research projects of up to three years.
Eligibility
Expressions of interest are invited from investigators at all levels focused on both discovery and translational laboratory-based research, including experimental methods such as (but not limited to) molecular biology, biochemistry and development of novel therapeutics including drug repurposing. Applications should also demonstrate a focus on one or more OCRF research objectives to better prevent, detect or treat ovarian cancer.
While OCRF funding can provide a genuine launchpad for innovative research, the OCRF also provides something else that is truly invaluable — the opportunity for genuine connection to the ovarian cancer community.
OCRF research funds are donated by a dedicated community. By sharing compelling research stories, we help OCRF-funded researchers articulate their progress, sharing the achievements of your team to those who matter most.
Expression of interest applications close 9am, 15 June 2026.
Thank you for sharing this significant opportunity with your audience of scientists and researchers.
