Recapture Life trial podcast with Rachael Babin and Ursula Sansom-Daly
In today’s episode of The Oncology Podcast our host Rachael Babin discusses the Recapture Life Trial with Ursula Sansom-Daly, as a follow up to our popular ‘Making Telehealth Human’ podcast.
The ‘Recapture Life’ trial is a recently published large randomised control trial examining the efficacy of a new online psychological support program for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. The data revealed some very interesting implications for ‘who’ online support may work best for, and ‘when’ this support is best delivered.
Ursula Sansom-Daly is a Clinical Psychologist for the Sydney Youth Cancer Service the leading clinical team for the treatment and care of adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 25 with cancer in Sydney. She is also Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Head of the Behavioural Sciences Unit at the School of Women’s and Children’s Health at the University of New South Wales.

Ursula Sansom-Daly
Dr Ursula Sansom-Daly leads the Mental Health Research Stream and is a clinician-researcher and a Senior Research Fellow with the Behavioural Sciences Unit, School of Women’s and Children’s Health, University of NSW (UNSW) Medicine. She completed her PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of NSW, School of Psychology. Alongside her research role, she is also the Clinical Psychologist at Sydney Youth Cancer Service the leading clinical team for the treatment and care of adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged 15-25 years with cancer in Sydney.
