AUNZ’s largest oncology research organisation, Breast Cancer Trials are hosting a virtual Q&A on February 7th from 5-6:30pm. The Q&A will be hosted by journalist Annabel Crabb, focused on metastatic breast cancer.
While no reliable data is collected on the number of people living with metastatic breast cancer, it is estimated that 5-10% of people diagnosed with breast cancer each year will have metastatic breast cancer. In addition, 20-30% of people diagnosed with early breast cancer will go on to develop metastatic disease.
Breast Cancer Trials Q&A Event: Metastatic Breast Cancer will feature an expert panel who will discuss the latest in research for metastatic breast cancer, as well as the psychological impacts of this disease and participating in clinical trials. The panel includes: Professor Sarah-Jane Dawson, Professor Lisa Beatty, Dr Shom Goel and Mrs Brenda Theakstone.
Participants can register for the event on the BCT website: www.breastcancertrials.org.au/qa-events and submit questions for the panel.
