How does ageism affect older adults with cancer? What impact does bias have on treatment options and outcomes? If you recognise ageist attitudes, what can you do to combat it? How does the language we use with older people affect their health? What country is the most ageist?
In today’s episode, our Host Rachael Babin explores all of these facets with Dr Michael Krasovitsky. Michael is a medical oncologist specialising in geriatric oncology, as well as upper gastrointestinal tract cancers and breast cancers. Michael is based at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and the St George Hospital Cancer Care Centre in NSW.
