Prof Bogda Koczwara is a medical oncologist and a senior staff specialist at the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer. Prof Koczwara completed her oncology training at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York and received a Master in Bioethics degree from the Monash University. Her clinical interests revolve around management of breast cancer, cancer survivorship, psycho-oncology and supportive care as well as health services development, integration with primary care and cancer education for health care professionals. Prof Koczwara's interest in needs of cancer survivors have led to her developing a Survivorship Program at Flinders that aims to promote excellence in clinical care and research relating to the needs of cancer survivors. She is the National Breast Cancer Foundation Practitioner Fellow working on the chronic disease management after cancer.
