Professor Stephen Ackland has been elected Chair of the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group’s (ANZBCTG) Board of Directors.
Professor Ackland is a Medical Oncologist and Senior Staff Specialist in the Medical Oncology Department of the Calvary Mater Newcastle. He has served as a Board Director for seven years and has been a member since 2000.
Professor Ackland replaces Professor Fran Boyle AM who has completed a three year term as Chair from 2012 to 2015 and who will continue as a Board Member.
The ANZBCTG also welcomes Professor Bruce Mann as a newly elected Board Director. Professor Mann is the Director of the Royal Melbourne and Royal Women’s Hospital Breast Service.
